If you played Netherstorm, then one of the first things that will strike you about Netherstorm Advanced is the use of game modes.
The idea behind game modes is that various groups have preferred playing styles. Some like a rules-lite game that runs heavy on narrative, while others prefer a more realistic, structured game. We realized that our rules in Netherstorm were very modular in nature, and that we could include or exclude certain rules with relatively little change to the overall mechanics. So, we developed three different game modes, based on using more or less mechanics as the game mode called for.
This section is completely different for us and we don't recall seeing it used in any other system. We definitely need as much feedback as we can get on this section.
